Rutgers Emergency Medical Services (RUEMS) provides exceptional emergency medical care to all patients without judgment of their situation while preserving their rights, privacy, and dignity. RUEMS is staffed with a combination of career and per diem Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).
RUEMS ambulance has been operational 24/7, 365 days a year since 1998. The ambulance and EMTs provide emergency medical services to Rutgers and surrounding communities, and are often on standby for special and athletic events.
RUEMS coordinates event coverage at Rutgers Stadium (2nd to Giants Stadium in seating) and other venues throughout the university. |

Event Coverage
RUEMS will provide EMTs, ambulance standby’s, courtesy shuttles, courtesy cart, field response teams such as bike units, Multi Casualty Incident Trailer, and Decon Trailer. Reports can be obtained during normal business hours at the Rutgers Public Safety Building located at 55 Commercial Ave in New Brunswick.
